Q: Which Hotel is available for booking and what is the price?
A: Sheraton Music City Hotel is available for all registrants at a reduced rate of $75 per night. Please visit the website of the hotel at

Q: Can meals be ordered in the hotel rooms?
A: Yes, meals can be ordered in your hotel room at your own expense and from the hotel’s restaurant only.

Q: Do I need to register before I book a hotel room?
A: Yes, you have to be registered before you can book a hotel room at the reduced rate. You may book a hotel room without registering for the conference but you have to pay the regular rate.

Q: I booked a hotel room but did not get any confirmation from the hotel?
A: For any questions on hotel reservation, changes or problems, please contact the hotel directly. The phone # of the hotel is 615-231-1297 or 1-800-627-7060.

Q: I want to change my registration information and add another child and/or another guest?
A: Please fill out another form with the added information, add the extra payment, if applicable, attach a letter explaining the situation and send it to us. We will update your registration with the new information.

Q: Can I cancel my registration?
A: Cancellation Policy: Refund requests, in writing, will be honored till May 1, 2010, but there will be a 20% administration charge. No refunds can be processed after May 1, 2010.

Q: Can I just walk in and register for one day of the conference?
A: We encourage buying a package since this works out best for you and us. Your package registration covers about 30 hours of programming and includes a free business conference. We do not have concrete plans to offer walk-in registrants a one-day pass.

Q: Can we get group discounts for registration?
A: For groups of 10 and above who are registering as donors, one free donor membership will be awarded to the one who organized this group.

Q: Can I be guaranteed a hotel room next to my friends or on the same floor?
A: At the time of check-in, the hotel will try their very best to accommodate all requests but priority will be given to the elderly, families with young children and disabled.

Q: Is there a shuttle from the airport to the hotels?
A: We are working on it and will update the information here soon.

Q: Can I get a hotel room at the same rates from Thursday July 1st to Mon July 5th?
A: The maximum rooms are available from July 2nd to July 4th, leaving by 12 noon on July 5th. If you want to stay additional days, please let us know and we can arrange it.

Q: Do my children need to enroll separately for the youth programs?
A: No. The youth programs are generally included in your registration ticket. Any special programs or outings we might arrange for our second generation later on will be individually priced.

Q: What am I supposed to wear during the conference?
A: You are attending a Bengali conference, so wear anything that goes with the setting. Most attendees wear Indian clothes at the conference but some feel more comfortable in western clothes. In fact some people consider this an opportunity to show off their wardrobe and change clothes several times a day. For the business conference, western clothes are more appropriate for the setting.

Q: What is the parking rate at the facility?
A. Parking is free at the Sheraton hotel.

Q: I have registered as a gold patron, but I did not book my hotel yet?
A. If you are a gold or diamond patron, you don't need to book your hotel, as we take care of it. Your patron membership covers the cost of the hotel for 2 nights. Your hotel room is booked immediately after you register.

Q: I have registered but did not receive my tickets yet. When will they arrive?
A. We will not be mailing any tickets for Bangamela 2010. Your registration package will be ready for pickup at the registration booth when you arrive to attend the conference. We will start distributing the packages in the afternoon of July 2 and it will continue till July 4 - the last day of conference. When you arrive, please first head towards the registration booth to pick up your registration materials.

A. Please inform us about the change and we will take care of it.

Q: I know that the Business Forum is free for all attendees. Do I need to do anything to attend?
A. Yes. The business forum is free for all attendees. But it is not automatically included in your standard registration. We want a head-count of all attendees and thus you need to register for the Business Forum specifically before you attend.

Q: Where do I find the list of artists attending Bangamela 2010?
A. All information will be on our website, www.bangamela.org. The monthly newsletter also will have a complete list of artists that are confirmed until that time. Please visit our website as often as you can to get the latest news.

Q: Where can I find the schedule of events? I want to plan the timing of my trip and don't want to miss any event.
A. The schedule of events will be published on our website under the events section, about 7 days before July 2, 2010. The opening program will generally start at 7pm on Friday evening and the concluding program will end around 7pm on Sunday evening.

Q: Will there be any Indian food available on site during the event?
A. Yes, we are arranging local Indian restaurants to sell foods to the attendees. You will be able to buy food coupons in advance through our website, even before you arrive at Nashville.

Q: I have not ordered food yet. Can I buy food coupons on site?
A. We cannot guarantee that. Preference will be given to people who have purchased pre-paid coupons. If we have any extra food, then a few food coupons may be sold on site, but that is only towards the end of the time-slot. You are better off purchasing your food coupons before the conference. It helps us with our planning too.

Q: Can I buy food outside the hotel?
A. Yes, you can. But the stores are quite some distance away. Consequently you may have to miss some programs. The hotel will have some arrangement for limited quantities of American food for children.
